ABOUT THE FILM

What must we endure to break through and fly? Chrysalis explores the urgency of transforming our pain through poetry and dance. A brief encounter with a stranger can trigger a fractured memory, release us momentarily from our burdens, or catalyze us into saving a life. Featuring movement artists Tigre Bailando and Micah “Just Jamz” Abbrey, this lushly-shot film asks us to consider the weight of our encumbered past and how we might embody and launch new versions of ourselves.
