Detroit Dance City Festival (DDCF) is a three-day community building event that celebrates dance in its various forms and disciplines. This includes workshops, performances and networking opportunities held at various locations throughout the city of Detroit. Their mission is to educate audiences about the impact of dance, provide opportunities for artists to share their work, and create an artistic network between Michigan, the United States and the world!

The Detroit Dance City Festival will showcase the work of over 80 local and national and international performing artists and companies. This will be the first year the SDI will be partnering with DDCF.

In addition to the participation of Screen Dance international, DDCF also offers a number of other performance opportunities including Dance and Celebration, Choreographers Showcase, Summer Stage, Friday Funk Night.

The Dance Workshop provides a unique opportunity for dancers to learn from the best in the industry from around the globe! For all dancers ages 13 and up, classes will be provided by a number of instructors that will be performing and presenting work during the festival.

DDCF’s Kids Dance Camp focus’ on their belief of ‘dance is for everyone’. Their interactive dance camp gives young children aged 3-13 in the Detroit community.

ARTLAB J's Moving with Detroit partnership with National Association Asisan American Professional Detroit has created a space for dance industry professionals and audiences to see, take, and talk about dance in Metro-Detroit during the festival. Informational and interactive lunches will feature artist talks, panel discussions, and guest speakers.
