"HELLO...HAVE WE MET YET?"

“HELLO…HAVE WE MET YET?”

An experimental dance film investigating the relationships between nightlife culture, technology and self-realization, Hello… Have We Met Yet? showcases a detangling of self from ego through intense glitches, flashing lights and body-language. It reflects the fleeting quality of the present moment, via strobe-light effects, by allotting the moment of viewing as the “setting”. Utilizing a reflective suit for visual representation of the ego’s protective/performative nature, an unraveling of true-identity is portrayed.

However, this is not a story, but a shared experience. Through light, color and sound, Hello… Have We Met Yet? energetically alters the room. Fostering space for open witnessing, the viewer is taken inside the screen and “behind the scenes”. Encapsulating sensations from the moment this “story” occurred, there is an invitation to experience these sensations. This work is a challenge of perception intrigued by the countless ways in which individual experience alters reality.
